Looking at the sewing table in my previous post made me really want one. Even if it didn't look like it. I decided that if I were going to get any type of sewing done I would need a sewing table, even if it were a small one. Taking my sewing machine in and out of the box it was in was becoming to much work. Lets not include having to put it on the dinner table or having to put everything away when we needed the table. I needed a place where I could leave my machine with fabric pieces and all when it was not in use. So I went into my basement and brought up a small desk we had down there. It fit perfectly in my room, with enough space for my sewing machine and other stuff. On the shelves I put my Ottobre mags, and under it I have some of my boxes with fabric. I love my small table and am very happy with it. Since having my table I have managed to almost finish my ddJ 1st birthday dress.( Lets remember that I have 7 kids here as much as I would love it I cant spend the day sewing) Here is a picture of my table.
Pull up a chair and grab a cup of coffee or tea and lets chat. This blog is all about being real.
Bread making
While on one of my many internet searches, I came upon a site that said you could have fresh baked bread in 5 minutes every day with out having to knead it. Seeing on how I had all the ingredients on hand 1)yeast 2)flour 3)salt and of course lukewarm water, I gave it a try. You basically mix all the ingredients together let it sit for two hours then you can take a piece off and bake it for 30 minutes or you can store it in the frig. It's good for two weeks in the frig. While the bread was a hit, I had no chance of taking a picture of it. It's gone almost right after I take it out of the oven. Cool ( the bread doesn't even have time to cool) Anyway if you would like to try it here is the site I got the recipe from.
Today we made bagels. I don't have the site because my ddB looked it up on the net and wrote down the directions. They came out great!!!!! Here they are.

Ottobre
I got my new Ottobre magazine in the mail today. So now I have to re plan my SWAP(sewing with a plan) for ddA. The swap I'm planning will be almost an entire wardrobe(she needs it and I get to sew). Its probably faster to go out and buy her clothes, but I get to sew and I really dont like the clothes they have out for little girls. I like my little girls to look like little girls. I wil post my swap plan when its final.
I also belong to a yahoo group for sewing up Ottobre clothes Ottobre-english. Great bunch of women there.
This is the dress( not the jumper dress, but the one in the back with sleeves) I plan on making ddJ for her 1st birthday next week . All I have managed to do was to trace it out. I traced out a size 74 but I think she needs either an 80 or 86. I would like it a little long to last a bit. Lord willing I will find the time. Time, I never seem to have enough.
